Browser Use in the n8n Assistant is now available to all users, controlled by the instance admin setting N8N_INSTANCE_AI_BROWSER_USE_ENABLED (on by default) rather than an experiment. It remains unavailable on phones and tablets, including iPads in desktop mode. The experimental "Set up automatically" credential setup option is now disabled by default for all users, with its underlying code kept in place for a possible future return.

The Databricks node now exposes a Job resource in its resource selector, enabling four previously hidden operations: Run, Get Job, Get Run, and Get Run Output. These operations and their logic already existed in the node but were not selectable in the UI; this change makes them visible and usable in workflows targeting Databricks jobs.

The Migration report in Settings now shows a progress bar at the top, displaying the share of workflows compatible with the target version along with a "{compatible} of {total} compatible" label. Workflow counts throughout the report are now formatted with locale-aware number formatting for better readability. The bar is also accessible, with proper progressbar roles and ARIA attributes.

The Azure OpenAI Chat Model node now lets you pick a deployment from a dropdown list instead of typing its name, avoiding typos that previously caused a DeploymentNotFound error. New nodes default to version 1.1, offering 'From List' and 'By ID' modes. The list requires an Azure AI Foundry credential with a Project set; classic credentials or empty projects show a clear error message. Existing version 1 nodes keep their text field and saved values unchanged.

The Crypto node's asymmetric encrypt/decrypt operations now let you choose the RSA-OAEP hash algorithm, supporting SHA-256 (default, preserving existing workflow behavior) or SHA-1. This enables interoperability with systems that require SHA-1 for OAEP padding when encrypting or decrypting with RSA keys.

The Supabase node now supports OAuth2 authentication alongside existing API key credentials. When using OAuth2, you select a Supabase project and n8n automatically manages a dedicated Data API secret key, reusing it across runs and refreshing it if it becomes invalid. Node parameter order was updated to show Resource and Operation first. Supabase OAuth2 credentials can also be used to enable the Supabase MCP server in the AI Assistant tools list.

You can now close preview tabs in the AI Assistant. Each tab shows a close button on hover or focus, and middle-click or Delete also close a tab. Closing the active tab selects the next (or previous) tab, and closing the last tab closes the preview. Open tabs, closed artifacts, and the active tab are now saved per thread, so they're restored when you reopen it. Closed artifacts reopen automatically if referenced again from chat or the artifacts list.

NODES_EXCLUDE now lets you hide a generated AI tool variant (e.g. microsoftOutlookTool) without removing its base node. Additionally, the node creator panel now hides subcategories or views (like 'Other AI Nodes' or 'Other ways...') that have no browsable nodes left, based on NODES_INCLUDE/NODES_EXCLUDE settings, keeping the panel cleaner for restricted instances.

You can now open and close the n8n Assistant panel in the Agent builder using Cmd+J (macOS) or Ctrl+J (Windows/Linux). Escape also closes the panel when focus is inside its input, and the close button now shows an Escape hint. Other canvas shortcuts remain disabled while typing in inputs.

The AI Assistant now only sees the preview tabs you currently have open, including which one is active, instead of every artifact ever produced in the thread. Closing tabs is reflected to the assistant, so it won't reference artifacts you've closed unless you explicitly ask about them. This gives more accurate, up-to-date context without affecting prompt caching.

The canvas Execute button has been redesigned: it now simply reads "Execute" and shows the selected trigger's icon instead of a second "from [trigger name]" line, with the trigger name still shown in a tooltip. Choosing a trigger from the dropdown now immediately runs the workflow and sets it as the default trigger. The button is now a consistent height, so adjacent Stop buttons no longer resize. The Builder chat uses the same updated component.

In the AI Assistant, you can now open a new tab for any workflow, data table, or agent in the thread's project directly from a preview tab bar. A new tab button opens a searchable menu scoped to the thread's project, listing recently edited resources (already-open ones are filtered out) or search results. Picking a resource opens it as the active tab, and the choice is saved across reloads.

The migration report now shows clearer impact labels instead of low/medium/critical severities: Upgrade blocked, Executions fail, Behavior changes, and Capability removed. Each breaking-change rule has been reclassified based on its actual runtime effect, with color-coded badges and tooltips explaining each category. Rules are now sorted by severity of impact, with blockers shown first and removed capabilities last, making it easier to prioritize fixes before upgrading.

n8n now displays Gateway credits promotions for eligible community nodes, shown as a callout in the node creator, the NDV, and the credential modal. The promotion text is sourced dynamically and only appears while Gateway credits support the node and the current time falls within the promotion's active window, disappearing automatically once it expires.

Redesigned the AI Assistant's preview tab bar with an updated look, and added a hover card for each tab. The card shows the tab's full name, and for workflows also displays the last edited time and a Published/Draft status, while data table tabs show the edited time and column count. Details load efficiently via batched requests and refresh in the background. Closing tabs and the new tab button are not yet included.

When SAML or OIDC is the active login method, the sign-in page now leads with a Continue with SSO button, with the email/password form collapsed behind a disclosure (still accessible via a recovery query parameter). If password sign-in is refused because SSO is required, an inline callout with its own SSO action appears instead of a toast. Redirects after login, including on OIDC, now correctly return users to their original destination, with hardened validation against unsafe redirect URLs. Instances without SSO are unaffected.

The Allowed callback URLs dialog under Settings → Instance-level MCP now animates smoothly instead of jumping. Switching between 'All callback URLs' and 'Only trusted URLs', adding or removing a URL row, and validation messages appearing all transition with a smooth grow/shrink motion. Reduced motion settings are respected, showing a simple fade instead. No functional or validation behavior changes.

The instance-level MCP settings overview now previews your first three connected clients directly, showing brand, client type, connection time, and access summary, with a hover-revealed revoke action. A 'View all' row appears only when more clients exist. The clients page's owner column is now more compact and the revoke button is properly right-aligned.

The comment input in workflow review activity feeds now sits directly after the last entry and adapts its height as you type, growing from one line to multiple. It stays sticky at the bottom, keeps focus and drafts intact when the feed loads or errors, auto-scrolls new content into view, and fades in newly received comments for a smoother review experience.

When a workflow save, publish, or manual execution is blocked by a node or credential type policy, the editor now shows a clear toast listing each blocked type and its scope, instead of a generic error. On the open canvas, each blocked type is a link that selects the affected nodes, making it easier to find and fix policy violations.
